Po' Monkey's Lounge

One of, if not the, last of the juke joints of the American South, located outside of Merigold, Mississippi (population a little over 400 people). Opened in the early '60s by Willie "Po' Monkey" Seaberry, the place sits along side a cotton field, in what was a sharecropper's house.
Beer sold on the premises and you can BYO if you want hard liquor but it's understood that you'll buy mixers. Thursday nights only (from 8:30 p.m.).
Music is usually recordings of R&B, blues, older soul.
Things that need to be said
Dress code: No backwards baseball caps and no pants hanging below the waist.
