He works solo, in a duo with Onno Govaert, or with his 6-piece band Korps. He was chosen as a “Young Vip” by the Music Center Netherlands in 2008, an award which alerted his name to the general public of his home country.
Bram is a collaborator with Poland's Grzech Piotrowski, performing as a soloist in his Piotrowski's legendary World Orchestra, working along many international stars. He was part of a Piotrowski quartet which recorded and released a CD on Challenge Records. He performed on a guitar carved from ice at Norway's North Sea Jazz Festival, together with Terje Isungset, and in 2010 he formed a trio together with the extraordinary and influential Norwegian singer Sidsel Endresen and American drummer Jim Black, playing several concerts and releasing a CD.
In 2011 Bram was selected to take part in the Take5-Europe program, lead by Serious in the UK and John Surman. He's the youngest musician ever to win the North Sea Jazz Composition Assignment. He is on an everlasting journey of discovering new ways to develop music, seeking out different directions in contexts, challenges, and technology.
